An exciting opportunity has emerged for a Lecturer in Engineering to join our Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the next generation of Engineering professionals while playing a key role in a thriving academic community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lecturer in Engineering, you will:
Deliver and oversee high-quality, inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment within the Engineering sector.
Plan programmes of study that cater to the unique needs, interests, and abilities of all students.
Foster students' academic and personal development, enabling them to reach their full potential.
Design and implement lesson plans that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the learning experience and meet the diverse needs of students.
Contribute to student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through personalised guidance and support.
What We’re Looking For:
We seek candidates who:
Are qualified Teachers or are willing to work towards achieving qualified status.
Hold a minimum of a Level 5 qualification in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Possess GCSEs at Grade C / Level 4 or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications.
(Desirable) Have up-to-date knowledge and/or experience in teaching one or more areas within Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Demonstrate an awareness of current issues in the sector that could influence curriculum delivery.
Show familiarity with career pathways in the sector for both 16–18-year-old and 19+ learners.
